Stacy Lynn (Stierwalt) Cochran, 65, long time resident of Tahlequah, OK was born on September 18, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma the daughter of Floyd Harrison Stierwalt and Irma Lee (Hail) Stierwalt.

Stacy was raised in Tahlequah and graduated high school in 1974. She continued her education at Northeastern State University (Go Redmen!), graduating with a Bachelor in Education in 1978, she then continued on to earn her Master's in Education in 1981 and then earned her administration certificate in 1988. She taught school for Coweta Public Schools for 38 years, teaching 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grade math. Stacy was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Tahlequah. Some of the roles in her church life were signing in the choir, teaching a Sunday School class, working with Vacation Bible School, serving as Church Board Secretary, and being the worship leader. Stacy enjoyed camping, cruising, reading, and traveling. She sang in the Heart of the Hills Sweet Adelines Choir for several years. She coached the Coweta Junior High and then High School Drill Team for over 15 years. Stacy loved teaching and watching her students grow, but her family and spending time with them was the most precious thing in life to her.

She was preceded in death, by her parents and her brother, Stephen H. Stierwalt, Sr.

She is survived by a loving family, which includes her children, Kerri LeAnne Dry and husband Jesse of Tahlequah; Justin Tyler Cochran and wife Erin of Ft. Smith, AR; brother, Charles Stierwalt II and wife Cherie of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Landon Ace Dry, and Harrison Tyler Cochran; nephews, Stephen Stierwalt, Jr. and Ronnie Stierwalt; nieces, Tiffany Lee Stierwalt and Sarah Elizabeth Bookout. Numerous cousins, great nieces and great nephews that she leaves behind, including a special cousin, Michelle Adair.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Stacy's name to St. Jude's cancer research or the First Christian Church.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11 AM at the First Christian Church in Tahlequah, OK with Rev. Darell Christopher officiating.
