Lee M. Cooper, 71, Manson, died Thursday morning at a Wenatchee hospital following a short illness.
He was born on Oct. 31, 1904, at Cane Hill, Mo., and spent his early life there. He married Esther Metcalf on April 2, 1927, at Stockton, Mo. They lived at Stockton until 1944 when they came to Manson.
Surviving are his wife, at home; three sons, Joe, Bothell, Jack and Jimmie, Manson; four daughters, Mrs. Meredith Jeffries, Mrs. J. D. Batchelor, and Mrs. Jim Wilson, Manson, and Mrs. Wayne Roark, Wenatchee; a sister, Mabel Barnett, Jericho Springs, Mo.; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
