Patricia Mae Barkdull Bott resident of Kenner, LA passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at age 87. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy Barkdull & Ruth Mackie Barkdull, sister Joanne Barkdull, and her husband for over 60 years Walter "Sonny" Bott. Pat is survived by her children: Catherine "Cathy" Toups, late husband Kevin, D. Wesley Bott and Stuart Bott, husband of Tricia; grandchildren: Christy Lindberg, wife of Chris, Valerie Preston, wife of Clayton, Allison Bott, Alexa Bott, Kyle Toups, John Bott, Megan Bott, Blayde Bott, and Zachary Bott; great-grandchildren: Aidan Lindberg, Nathan Lindberg and Makenna Lindberg, as well as family, extended family, cousins, and numerous friends. Pat was born on February 17, 1929 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Sophie B. Wright High School in 1946. She attended Newcomb College in New Orleans until her marriage to Walter on October 12, 1949. Pat spent the next 66 years caring for her ever-growing family and their friends. She also volunteered her time by supporting her favorite groups and charitable causes, including The Sam Barthe Ladies Club, WYES Public Television, The Battered Women's Shelter, and Women of Trinity Church. Pat loved to travel, read and was an avid life-long sports fan – especially to her Louisiana teams. She was known for having three televisions in her living room all on a different game. She especially enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's athletic events. All friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA 70006 on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 1 PM. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association, WYES, or the Battered Women's Shelter.
