Aubrey Guy Bruckner, Sr., 77, of Merigold, formerly of Indianola, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 30, 1940 in Marks to Robert and Ruth Carmeans Bruckner. Mr. Bruckner was a photographer and owned Bruckner's Photography in Indianola for 45 years prior to retiring in 2005. He was a member of Roundaway Baptist Church in Doddsville.
Mr. Bruckner was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Virginia Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Bruckner of Merigold; eight sons, Robert Owen Bruckner of Bentonville, Ark., Aubrey Guy Bruckner, Jr. of Mamou, La., Barry Wayne Bruckner of Hattiesburg, Michael Stephen Bruckner of Isola, Jarmon Ables and wife Tracey of Crowley, La., Glenn Ables of Indianola, Timothy Ables of Isola, and Craig Morgan and wife Jessica of Hernando; two brothers, Thomas S. Bruckner of Harrisville, and Bobby Bruckner and wife Marilyn of Merritt Island, Fla.; two sisters, Thelma Sparkman of Eupora, and Janie Torrance of Randolph; one sister-in-law, Judy Jackson of Opp, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on Tuesday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. A second visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Roundaway Baptist Church in Doddsville. Burial will follow in Roundaway Cemetery. Burton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
