Obituary--- Dee Aquilla Conaway

Funeral services for Dee Aquilla Conaway, 72, were at 2 Pm Saturday in the chapel of Pickard Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Moore conducted the rites and burial was in Maxwell Cemetery (Oil City, Pontotoc County, OK).
Mr. Conaway died Wed., May 13, 1981 in an Ada Hospital. He was born Sept, 1908 in Taloga, OK to George and Minnie Forsyth (sic) Conaway and moved to Ada 15 years ago from Waynoka, OK. He was a construction worker.
Survivors include his wife, Theda, of the home; two daughters, Elsie Fay Donaldson and Judy Ann Hartmann, both of Okla. City; three sons, Lawrence Edward of Okla. City, Melvin D., Stratford, and Mark Lee, Ada, OK; his mother, Minnie Mae Conaway, Okla. City; four sisters, Ivy Graham and Mary Canipe, both of Okla. City, Addie Graham of Arizona and Ann Pratt, Kansas City, MO.; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Bearers were Bill Hillton, Bobby Johnson, Jimmy Daves, Johnny Miller, Charlie Woodall and John Haskins. James Price, Joe Frances and Tommy Hudson were honorary bearers.


Vy Note: he was the eldest and only boy of six children. He was a wonderful Uncle.
