George Edward Younce, 83, died Saturday in Marion after a long illness. Born April 1, 1864, in Cedar Rapids, he lived in Cedar Rapids for many years before moving to Marion. He was a retired foreman for the Ford Paving Company.

In 1896 he was married to Julia Clark, who died June 18, 1929. Surviving are one son, George W. Younce of Cedar Rapids, and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 am at the grave in Oak Hill cemetery by the Rev Frank H. Ward. Friends may call at the Yocom chapel in Marion. THE GAZETTE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 16 Feb 1948
