Opal Inez Rainwater, 83, of Marion, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Willowbend Nursing Home in Marion, Arkansas. She was born on October 26, 1938 in Booneville, Mississippi to William and Ruthie Mize Ervin. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God in West Memphis, Arkansas. When she was able, she participated in the Church Nursing Home visitation program. Opal was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a committed servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and a prayer warrior for many.

She is preceded in death by her husband: James Rainwater, three sons: Dennis, Billy and Clifton Rainwater, and brother: Billy G. Ervin.

Opal is survived by her daughter: Linda Kay Rowland, siblings: Ruth Luvern Kraklio (Richard), Luther Ervin (Paula), Dr. Robert Ervin (Cindy), David Ervin (MaryEllen), Della Ervin and Janie Reagan (J.R.), fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss her and her biscuits and chocolate gravy.

A celebration of her life will be held at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. and visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Interment will follow service at Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Arrangements are under the care of Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas.
