Dee graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and attended Indiana University where she was crowned the Homecoming Queen in 1949. She was very active in both the Tri-Kappa and Pi Beta Phi Philanthropic Sororities, and she was one of the founders of the Floyd Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and went on to serve on the Floyd Memorial Foundation Board. Dee volunteered for Hospice and was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, Dee was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James C. "Jim" Curry, her granddaughter: Natalie Curry and her sister: Ruth Ann Proudfoot.
Dee is survived by her sons: Jeff Curry(Sandra) and Brad Curry(Cindy) and 4 grandchildren: Hunter, Parker, Audrey and Emily Curry.
A Celebration of Dee's life will be held at 11 AM Tuesday August 23, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church(2796 Charlestown Rd. New Albany, IN.) Visitation will be from 3 – 8 PM Monday at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes(1119 E. Market St.). Burial Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
