John Bailey Baker, 90, Lancing, Tenn., died Wednesday at Roane Medical Center, Harriman, Tenn.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Virginia Baker; daughter Gail Lyon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Martha (Saylor) Bailey; his siblings, and son John "Bud" Baker.

Graveside commital services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling arrangements.
