PORTSMOUTH – Mrs. Rosa Annie Mountcastle, 76, of 3621 Pine Road died Sunday in a hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Charles C. Mountcastle and a daughter of Everett and Mrs. Jinsey Ann Turner Carroll. She was a member of United Congregational Christian Church of Portsmouth. Surviving is a son, Thomas J. Capel of Portsmouth; three stepsons, Charles C. Mountcastle Jr. and James O. Mountcastle of Norfolk, and Talmadge C. Mountcastle of Chesapeake; a step-daughter, Mrs. Elton A. Lee of Portsmouth; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Snellings Funeral Home by the Rev. Max. Tussey with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
