Thomas Jefferson Drane was born in Logan County, Kentucky in abt. 1841 to Thomas Offut Drane & Sarah Ann Gallaher. On 25 Apr. 1861 he married Nancy C. Gorham, parents unknown. They had at least 7 children. Where Nancy died or is buried is unknown. On 12 June 1887 Thomas marries Martha "Mattie" Freeman in Robertson County, Tenn. In 1888 they migrated to Texas, then to Oklahoma in 1889 where Thomas was a part of the Oklahoma Land Run. They settled in Lindsay, Oklahoma, but returned to Texas by 1890 to Montague County, then Gainesville in Cook County, & afterwards, Howard County.
