DUCK HILL - Services for James Linville Hemphill of Duck Hill, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. from Red Hill church near Duck Hill, with burial in the church cemetery. Oliver Funeral Home of Winona in charge of arrangements.
Hemphill was born in Montgomery county April 18, 1883 and died at his home of a heart attack on Monday night, July 4.
He was a farmer, and a member of the Red Hill Presbyterian church. He served with the U. S. Army in World War I. His wife died in 1941.
He leaves two sons and three daughters, J. P. Hemphill of Duck Hill, S. W. Hemphill of Arlington, Texas, Mrs. B. P. Lott of Duck Hill, Mrs. Hutz of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mrs. L. C. Haynes of Germany, one sister, Mrs. K. L. Pittman of Duck Hill and fourteen grandchildren.
