Geraldine Mull Owen, age 87, of Waynesville, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. Geraldine was born January 6, 1935 in Jackson County, NC to the late Charley and Lelar Kilby Mull.
Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was also a longtime member of Grandview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Stephens; five brothers, Lloyd, Doc, Joe, Claude and Clint Mull; and three sisters, Mattie Jackson, Dorothy McGaha, and Nancy Shuler.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Sharon (Bill) Smith, Karen (Eddie) Rhinehart, and Charles (Jackie) Stephens; sisters, Hermie Piper and Edith Valentine; brothers, Clyde and Mack (Donna Faye) Mull; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Ratcliffe Cove Cemetery.
