Lovetta M. "Betty" Bondurant, 96, of Columbus, OH, passed away, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at her winter home in Green Valley, AZ.
Betty was born on August 10, 1925, in Auglaize County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Stewart G. "Ben" and Mary Mildred Montague Alexander. She married Byron L. Bondurant on February 28, 1944, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a stillborn son, Alan Clay Bondurant and a brother, Roger Alexander.
Betty is survived by a son, Richard Thayne Bondurant of Corinth, VT, two daughters, Connie Jane Jaycox, and Cindi Lynn Oxyer, both of Columbus, four grandchildren, Eric (Dawn) Jaycox, Jay Bondurant, Molly Bondurant, and Michael Lee Gardino, five great grandchildren, Alexander Samuel (Rachel) Jaycox, Christopher Adam Morse, Sierra (Hunter) Page, Acadia Cook, and Elijah Lee Gardino, two great-great grandchildren, Peyton and Colton Page, and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of Waynesfield School. She enjoyed hosting parties, quilting, studying languages, playing cards and games, and baking.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation from 1-3 pm. Burial is in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield, OH.
