Mrs. Lillie Haddix, 60 years old, wife of D. L. Haddix, a prominent local farmer, passed away Tuesday night at midnight at her home, about four miles northeast of Lewisburg, on Gordon Road. Mrs. Haddix had been in usual health until about nine weeks ago, when her fatal illness began.

Mrs. Haddix was a daughter of the late Henry and Susan Hoffman and was born near Liberty in Montgomery County. She had been a resident of this community since her marriage with the exception of three years that the family resided in Colorado.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Verona United Brethren church, with Rev. N. D. Bevis, the pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Verona cemetery.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Emerson Haddix, of Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Lola Torbert, of Dayton; Mrs. Opal Emberton, of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Mayno McKibben, of Arcanum; one sister, Mrs. John Sensenbaugh, of Gordon, and five brothers, S. J. and Lester Hoffman, of north of Lewisburg; Joe Hoffman, of Verona; Rev. Perry Hoffman, of Belle Center, Ohio, and Watson Hoffman, of Clayton.
