He was born on December 28, 1959, in Guttenberg, the son of Edwin and Darlene (Dettbarn) Everett.
Randy was raised in Edgewood and attended Edgewood-Colesburg Schools.
On August 5, 1989, Randy was united in marriage to Karen Faust at the United Methodist Church in Colesburg.
After high school, Randy did drywall construction and then worked for Burrack Trucking in Arlington. Later he worked for Kann Manufacturing for several years. Randy then began driving semi-truck for his father and later for Kendricks. In October of 2004, Randy started Everett Auto Parts, where he worked during the past 18 years, and shot the breeze with all of his loyal customers.
Randy enjoyed cruising in his cars, going to car shows, and working on his prized possessions in his garage.
He enjoyed working on his lawn and making it look its best. Finding fun places to eat and listening to good music were fun times for him.
Above all else Randy loved his family, and all of his grandchildren were special in his heart.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Edwin; his stepmother, Dixie; and parents-in-law, Margaret and Loren Faust.
