Coy Edgar "Ed" Boling Jr., age 78, of Rutledge, passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2022. He was faithful member of Head of Richland Baptist Church where he was the song leader for over forty years. He was retired from UPS and enjoyed farming, rabbit hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a lifetime member of the Rutledge Fire Dept. and served as Alderman eleven years for the City of Rutledge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Coy Sr. and Hattie Boling, sister; Patricia Witt and son-in-law; Wayne Perdue.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Patsy (Pat) Boling, daughter; Tonya Perdue, and sons and daughter-in-laws; Rodney (Lynette) Atkins and Blake (Alene) Atkins, grandchildren; Brandy (Anthony) Bull, Rusty Phelps, Chris and Rachael Atkins, Ryan and Ali Atkins and Asten (Zechariah) Wesley. Great-grandchildren; William and Adleigh Bull, Madelyn Phelps, MaKinley and Ivana Wesley and Max Atkins. Brothers; Ronnie (Barbara) Boling and Donnie (Darlene) Boling. Mother-in-law; Pauline Daniel, and many special nieces and nephews. We would also like to thank Shaunda and Faye, our special home health nurses.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Smith Reagan Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7:00pm with Dr. Kenny Boling and Rev. Kim Farrow officiating.

The family will meet at Smith Reagan Funeral Home Sunday, August 14,2022 at 1:00pm to go in procession to Narrow Valley Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00pm Graveside Service.

Pallbearers; Rusty Phelps, Anthony and William Bull, Ryan and Chris Atkins and Tommy Witt. Honorary pallbearers; Ernest Boling, Steve Townsley, Tracey Marsh, Rick Morgan, Max Valdez and Charles "Skeeter" Mills.
