Lyndon Eades Crockett Jr., husband of Helen Dalton Crockett, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022. Born in Lexington, he was the son of the late Lyndon E. and Dora K. Crockett. He attended the University of Kentucky and East Hickman Baptist Church. He was a past president of Blue Grass Kiwanis Club; Docent for Ashland, the Henry Clay estate; and the Kiwanis representative for the Key Club at Bryan Station High School. He was also a volunteer reader at the UK Child Development Center. He is survived by three children, Tina (Mike) Pepper, Leigh Anne Giles, and Bradley (Nicole) Crockett; six grandchildren, Will (Kristen) Pepper, Christian (Justin) Ludlam, Mary Helen Pepper, Alexis Giles, Ethan Crockett, and Hyla Brook Crockett; two great grandchildren, Anna Kate Pepper, and Caroline Pepper; and his cousins, Marilyn, Bob, James, John, and Laura Lee. He was preceded in death by two cousins, Katherine O'Bryan, and Rose Elizabeth McPhearson. A funeral service will be held 12pm Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Blakenship, John O'Bryan, Mike Pepper, Bradley Crockett, Ethan Crockett and Will Pepper. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be sent to Sayre Christian Village, Ashland Henry Clay Estate, or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
