PAMPA - Ruby Edith May, 82, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy White, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park at Borger. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. May was born in May, Okla., and graduated from Spearman High School at Spearman in 1936. After graduating from West Texas State College in 1960, she taught in Borger and Plemons schools until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the West Texas State University Alumni Association. She later moved to Pampa, where she was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married J.F. May in 1936 at Stinnett.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Nichols and Martha Baggerman, both of Pampa; a son, Jerry Don May of Clarendon; a half sister, Joy Mitchell of Albuquerque, N.M.; a half brother, Harold Crooks of Spearman; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Heart Association, 2404 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106; BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176; or a favorite charity.
