THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, October 26, 1999, page 8A: 'Marie Ribble, 84, of Paris died at 6:36 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Nolan Butler and Don Michael officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ribble was born May 2, 1915, in Broken Bow, Okla., to W. T. 'Tom' and Laura Henderson Lamb. She attended school in Marvin, Medicine Mound, and Quanah. She married Richard Owen Ribble Feb. 13, 1937, in Paris. He died June 26, 1999. She worked as a saleslady for J. C. Penney Co. for 23 years. She was a member of College Church of Christ. Surviving are a son, Walter R. Ribble and wife Jane of Fostoria, Ohio; one daughter, Anita Gundersen of Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Katherine Dundas of Paris, Erick Gundersen of Poway, Calif., Christina Hatten of Roxton, Bjorn Gundersen of Eglin AFB, Fla., Lisa Fay of Granger, Ind., Karen Kerr of St. Charles, Mo., and Bethany Ribble of Stuttgart, Germany; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene McGee; one brother, Archie Lamb, and one great-grandson, Joshua Healey. Serving as pallbearers will be Erik and Bjorn Gundersen, John McGee, Bob Addy, Dewey Beck, and Thomas McGee.'
