Wayne Hubert Anderson, aka Hounddog, 79, of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Wednesday, July 15, 2020. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend and neighbor. He was born November 26, 1940 in Spanish Fork, Utah to W.H. Anderson and Lilly LaVone Benson. He was the third of nine children.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove High where he played the tuba and was a member of the FFA. Following graduation, he worked for United Concrete Pipe as a welder and was transferred to Texas and Washington where they lived for a year before returning to Utah. After returning home, Wayne worked for Geneva Steel for 25 years and then Transwest for 4 years. He was a man of many talents he could fix or build anything. He was an avid gardener, talented carpenter, he enjoyed toll painting and was a very creative story teller. He loved maintaining a beautiful yard, hiking, camping, dancing the polka, and restoring old cars. For several years he raised chickens and became known as "Grandpa Chickens" to all of the grandkids. His greatest love was spending time with his family and sharing his talents with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wayne was known by everyone for his kindness, caring and service to others.

In 1959 he met and married his eternal companion Joyce Norman. They were married October 29, 1960 in Orem, Utah and were later sealed in the Provo Temple. Together they had three children, Wendy, Shane and Shad.

Wayne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved to read the Book of Mormon and share his testimony with his family. He faithfully served in various callings throughout his life.
