Irene, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Humerickhouse, southwest of town, died at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Sutton, in this place, at 6 o'clock Monday morning, after a brief illness from inflammation of the bowls. She was aged 8 moths and 14 days. When the little one was first taken ill she was brought here so that they might be close to to a physician, but to no avail. The little form was laid to rest in the Hartford cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Short services were held at the grave. conducted by Rev. Rich, pastor of the Christian church at Strawn. Only the memory of the lovely babe is left, yet how sweet its influence. Her death comes as a dark shadow to the fond parents and to her relatives, who have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
