Jack Eugene Smeltzer, 71, passed away on July 2nd, 2022 at the Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville Iowa. Jack graduated from Dexfield High (Redfield, Dallas County, Iowa) in 1969. People will remember his kindness, sharp memory of details, and quick wit. He enjoyed reading, travelling and visiting with friends. He is survived by his twin brother John Edward Smeltzer of Bentonville, AR, nephew Jason Grubbs and niece Tracy Beebe, and dear friends Jan Ruddy, Pam Keller, LaDonna Robertson and Felipe Primera. Preceding him in death were his mother and father, LaVaun (Martha Faye "LaVaun" WOLFE Smeltzer) and James and a brother, Stephen "Jim" Smeltzer. A graveside service will be August 11th at 11:00 AM at the Wiscotta Cemetery in Redfield Iowa.
