Melanie Jackson, age 51, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday August 5, 2022. She relentlessly fought brain cancer for over 15 months.

Melanie was born in Greenville, NC on April 6, 1971 to Allan Cannon and Jeanie Allen. Melanie received her degree in Spanish from Meredith College in Raleigh. She and her family lived in Charlotte, NC for 7 years before spending the last 22 years in Wake Forest, NC.

She home schooled all three of her children from kindergarten through high school. Melanie also was a high school Spanish teacher at Concord High School, at CMC Homeschool Co-op, and privately from home. She was a 20-year member at Open Door Church in Raleigh where she served in various positions, and she helped as the translator for several mission trips.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Wesley Jackson; her daughter, Bailey Suggs; her son-in-law, Jackson Suggs; her daughter, Bethany Jackson; her son, Will Jackson; and her soon-to-be born grandchild.

A Celebration of her life will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC at 6pm on Thursday, August 11. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6pm prior to the service. The entombment will be attended by family at a later date at the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Wake Forest, NC.
