Charles Dado, son of Christena and Christian Dado, was born March 7, 1867, near Downers Grove, Ill.

The family moved to Nebraska in 1867 and made their home near Friend. November 7, 1899, Charles Dado was united in marriage to Mary Ross. To this union were born two sons, Franklin and Rufus, both of this vicinity.

Mr. and Mrs. Dado had made their home in the Fairmont community the past eighteen years.

The deceased is survived by his widow, his two sons, four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Lena Hulse of Friend and one brother, Will of Red Oak, Ia.

Mr. Dado had been in poor health the past three and one-half years. He passed away at his home in Fairmont September 16, 1941, at the age of 74 year, 6 months and 8 days.

The funeral services were held in the home at 2 o'clock this Thursday, afternoon, with Rev. R. W. Sandsted as the officiating minister. Mrs. Ross Dorrance was in charge of the music. Pallbearers were C. A. Moore, Ross Dorrance, A. P. Stewart, Roy Stines, Charles Robinson, and Roy Stone. Burial was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
