He is preceded in death by his parents: Herminia Florence Juarez and Ferdinando Valentine Magginetti, his 3 brothers Eugene, George and William Magginetti, and loving wife Ethelyn G (Gagliasso) Magginetti. John is survived by his loving family of 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

He was born November 16, 1928, in Santa Clara, California. He grew up in Southern CA, working at various rancheros and canneries along the coast. After graduating from California Polytechnic State University, he enlisted in the US Air Force and transitioned to the Officer ranks, quickly becoming a navigator and radar intercept officer, working with various aircraft squadrons. He served for 20 years.

John met his wife, Ethelyn during their elementary school years, building a relationship thru college and marrying in 1953, until her death in 2018, after 65 years of marriage.

Upon his military retirement in Colorado Springs, he attended the University of Colorado at Pueblo, earning his teaching credentials. He soon joined the Colorado Springs Utilities Water Department where he again retired after 20 years.

A small service will be held October 26, 2021, at 1pm at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs.
