Columbian dies when motorcycle hits deer
The Missouri Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday night as Charles Sadell, 55, of Columbia.
About 11:40 p.m. Saturday, according to the highway patrol, Sadell was riding his 1953 Harley-Davidson north on Route VV when he struck a deer, about three-tenths mile north of Old Highway 63.
The impact knocked Sadell and his motorcycle off the left side of the road, where he crashed.
Sadell was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1 a.m.
