Chelan - Charles Junior Agan, 73, a longtime resident of Chelan, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born March 22, 1925, at Giltner, Neb., the son of Lacey and Velma (Landsen) Agan. He moved with his family to Lebanon, Mo., where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his discharge, he worked at a veteran's hospital in Springfield, Mo.
He married Mary Ruth Linn on May 8, 1946, at Auburn. They moved to Chelan in 1952. Charles worked at the Chelan Bakery for a while and then for Trout Inc. for 35 years.
He was active in the Chelan Eagles Aerie 2218, and coached youth baseball for many years.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Rick, Enumclaw, and Bill, Chelan; one daughter, Lana Nord, Chelan; two brothers, Bill, Ada, Okla, and Bobby, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Beulah Stubblefield, Mount Angel, Ore., and Dorothy Lockwood, Lebanon, Mo.; four granddaughters, Ana Maree Ordway, Wenatchee, Ammie Agan, Chelan, and Melissa and Kristin Agan, both of Enumclaw; one grandson, Aaron Agan, Chelan; and one great-grandson, Jake Ordway, Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
