Stephen is the beloved father of Stephen Scharp of Gibraltar and Brittney Scharp of Clinton; loving son of Gene "Ed" & Shirley Scharp of Ypsilanti and cherished brother of Keith Scharp of Sumpter. Steve is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob and Wyatt, nephews, Branden and Austin Scharp of Sumpter, many loving extended family and his dog "Noel".
A 1984 graduate of Lincoln High School, Steve was known as a skilled painter of airplanes and cars. He was also very skilled at remodeling mobile homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed salmon fishing and gathering morel mushrooms. He was a good man with a strong work ethic and was devoted to his family. He will be missed.
A funeral ceremony has been arranged for 1:30 PM, Friday, December 14th at the David C. Brown Funeral Home of Belleville, 640 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville. 734-697-4500. The Scharp family will greet guests from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Interment will follow at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan.
Visitation has also been arranged for Thursday from 4 until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Those wishing to make a donation in Steve's memory are asked to give to the American Cancer Society.
