Former Muncie resident, Helen Ball Robinson, 99, died June 1 in Bronxville, N.Y. She was the daughter of Lucius Lorenzo Ball and Sarah Rogers Ball. Dr. Ball moved to Muncie in 1894 and joined his four brothers at Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing, where he was company physician. Mrs. Robinson was educated in private schools, attended Tudor Hall School in Indianapolis, and graduated from Vassar College in 1919. She and her late husband, educator Leland Rex Robinson, moved to New York City soon after their 1924 wedding, and moved to Bronxville in 1926. Leland Robinson died in 1966.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Bronxville Reformed Church for more than 60 years, and was a founding member of the Bronxville League of Women Voters. Survivors include a daughter, Sarah R. Harris, Seattle; a son and daughter-in-law, Lucius Ashley and Yvonne Robinson, Bronxville; four grandchildren, Rebecca R. Jasperse, Sonoma, Calif., Nicholas Harris, Seattle, Gary B. Robinson, Mount Vernon, Maine, and Susan L. Robinson, Englewood, Colo.; a great-grandson, Leland James Jasperse; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Crimley and Susan C. Gough, both of Mill Valley, Calif.; two step-great-grandchildren and three first cousins, Rosemary Ball Bracken, Janice Fisher and Edmund F. Ball, all of Muncie. A son, Leland Ball Robinson, died in 1931. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. June 25 in Bronxville Reformed Church, Bronxville.
