GALLUP – Services for Joe Bustamante Jr. 87, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup. Fr. O'Keefe will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Gallup.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22 and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary.
Bustamante died Jan. 16, 2008 in Albuquerque. He was born Jan. 9, 1921. He was a high school graduate and retired as a master mechanic at Fort Wingate Army Depot. He was a member of the Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force Association.
Survivors include his sons Anthony Bustamante of Santa Fe, Ejay Emmett Julian Bustamante of Phoenix; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barlene Fernandez Bustamante.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Fernandez, Steve Harper, Roman Gutierrez, Herman Bustamante, Mike Bustamante and Paul Rabalcaba.
A reception will be announced after services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Assoc.
