She was united in marriage to Alfred B. Highfill, July 29, 1909 at Buffalo, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1946.
She is survived by her four children: John of Carmen, Laura Hale also of Carmen, LeNora Wilson, Helena and Irma Price of Enid. She has one living brother, A.B. Nichols of Fair Grove, Mo. Also five grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who will miss and mourn her passing.
She professed her faith in Christ in her younger years and united with the Baptist church at Mt. Olive, Mo. She was a member of the Carmen Baptist church at the time of her passing. She was faithful in attendance until ill health forced her to be inactive. She had been hospitalized a great part of the past five years.
The different places in the homes of her loved ones will be empty that once she filled but it is just a few days until we have completed our book of life that she has just finished and we too will pass on. Until then, we bid her good bye.
