URBANA – Violet M. Clymer, 90, of Urbana died at 4:11 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 12, 2012) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Violet Clymer was born on March 14, 1921, in Bryan, Ohio, a daughter of Owen and Alta Penrod Bradford. She married Francis Clymer on Aug. 13, 1940. He preceded her in death in 2002.
She is survived by a son, Bradford (Julia) Clymer of Mahomet; a daughter, Mary Pooler of Plant City, Fla.; a sister, Claire Booth of Hillsdale, Mich.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Clymer was a member of the Audubon Society and enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting.
