ANDREW LOCKETT FUNERAL

Funeral services for Andrew Moore Lockett, 80, who died early Thursday morning at his home 76" East Beach, Pass Christian, were held in New Orleans today.

Mr. Lockett, who was president of the New Orleans Association of Commerce in 1930-31, was also a member of the board of directors for 13 years.

He was founder and chairman of the board of directors of the A. M. Lockett and Co. Ltd., contracting mechanical engineers.

He was bom in Marion, Ala., and was a grandson of Andrew Moore, governor of Alabama during the civil war.

Mr. Locket came to New Orleans in 1899 and had always been widely interested in civic affairs.

He was a former president of the Louisiana Engineering Society, former member of the board of port commissioners of New Orleans, and was one of the organizers of the Intracoastal Canal Association.

Mr. Lockett was a member of a number of national engineering and scientific organizations and a prominent clubman.

He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Ann Waddell of Helena, Ark.; a son, A. M. Lockett Jr., of New Orleans, and a daughter, Mrs. John Norton Stewart of Pelham, NY.
