Died of Peritonitis. Thought to be caused by perforation of the bowels.

Died of Peritonitis. Thought to be caused by perforation of the bowels.
The boy was injured while at play two or three weeks previous. Taken
from an obituary.

Jay the son of Wm. Sanderson jr.,
after ten days of terrible suffering,
died on the 24th inst., of peritonitis.
The little boy came home from school
the 15th complaining of a terrible
pain in his bowels, but his parents
thinking it nothing serious, neglected
to send for a physician untl Sunday,
when Dr. Wilson was summoned to
see the child, who pronounced an ag-
gravated case of peritonitis. Every-
thing was done to relieve the little
fellow. The parents and neighbors
were unremitting and unwearied in
their efforts to arrest the disease and
relieve the boy of his sufferings.
Their efforts were unavailing however
and the boy died on Saturday. Dr.
Wilson, assisted by Dr. Begel, made
a post mortem examination and found
the the inflammation was caused by
perforation of the bowels, showing
that the child could not have been
saved by any treatment, however skill-
ful. The boy was injured while at
play two or three weeks previous to
his last sickness, and the physicians
were of the opinion that the trouble
dated from that time.

In Memoriam.

of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Sanderson, who
died Dec. 24, after a severe illness of
nine days.)
