Gloria attended local schools in Rockland and in 1960 she moved to Connecticut living there until 1971 when she moved back to Rockland. While in Connecticut Gloria worked at Sheffield Tubes. Gloria met and married Carl P. "Yogi" Dinsmore in 1971.
Gloria's working years while raising her family were at Port Clyde Packing Co, Stinsons Canning, Holmes Packing Co, The Samoset Resort, Camden Healthcare and Knox Long Term Care where she retired to care for her husband. When Carl passed away in 2010 Gloria moved to Bangor to be near family realizing that she was not a big city girl and moved back to Rockland.
Gloria's favorite past times were knitting, crocheting, reading, listening to music, making jewelry, dancing, bowling, roller skating , watching Stock Car racing and especially spending time with her favorite feline named Nilly.
Gloria's family said that she had a great sense of humor, enjoyed a good joke and was always willing to help those in need as well as a loyal and long lasting friend.
Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband Bernard "Skip" Cousens, her brother Ronald Chase and her husband Carl P. Dinsmore of 33 years.
