Married Ethel Lorena Tarrant∼Otis Henry Bartimus of Stewardson was found dead in Ramsey Cemetery about noon Tuesday of an apparent self-inflicted shotgun wound to his abdomen.
Russell Tarrant and Earl Robison found the body. It was estimated Otis had been dead four to five hours.
Ramsey Cemetery is located in the northwest corner of Douglas Township Effingham County.
A WWII veteran, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bartimus of Stewardson.

Effingham County Coroner Darrel Holland will conduct an inquest Saturday.
