Mr. Biggs was the son of George and Elizabeth Biggs, a blacksmith in Hancock County. He was a first Sergeant in the 21st Ohio Volunteer Infantry company A. He was wounded 12/31/1862 at the Battle of Stone's River and died at Murfreesboro, Tn two days later, he was 23 years old. He was brought home and buried at Maple Grove cemetery in Findlay, Ohio.
