Diane L. Davidson,
67, of Kingsford, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home.
Diane was born on August 6, 1948 in Orland, California. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Luba and Evelyn (Bal) Luba and has been a resident of the this area for most of her life. Diane was a 1966 graduate of Kingsford High School and married Gary Davidson on August 6th 1966. This year they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She spent the majority of her working years as a librarian and teachers aid for Breitung Township schools.
Diane was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain and over the years was active in various activities within the church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, always happy to gift her projects to family and friends. She also enjoyed camping throughout the years. She loved to bake and everyone looked forward to her treats and she was known for her delicious pasties. Diane had many special friends and especially loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very proud of her family and was always sure to remind them of this.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; a very special stepmother, Lorraine Luba of Kingsford; daughters, Missy Davidson of Kingsford and Christine (Mike) Bruns of Kingsford; five grandchildren, Kassandra (Derek) White, Chelsie (Andy Earhart) VanWolvelaere, Kevin VanWolvelaere, Alyssa (Brandon) Maki and Erika (Tony Hart) Bruns; five great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Lauren, Evie Lynn, Halle and Holland.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 6th from 10:00am- 12:00 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church of Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon Friday at the church. Rev. Geri Hamlen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit.
