Mrs. Ranton was born Dec. 23, 1901, in St. Louis, Mo. She was a daughter of Adolph and Amelia (Walberg) Abel. A brother, Leslie Abel, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, here, and the Rosary Altar Society of the church.
Surviving are her husband William L. (Bill) Ranton, owner and operator of Ohio Art Glass Service, whom she married November 16, 1940; one daughter, Juanita Cover of Greenville; two sisters, Bernice Reynolds of Sun Valley, Calif. and Marguerite Hause of Burbank, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, here, with the Rev. Edward Haskamp officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Zechar Funeral Home, here. The Rosary Altar Society will have prayers at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral Home.
