Sandra Alford Stewart, 71, passed away in Houston on Saturday, May 5, 2012. She was born on October 12, 1940 in Franklinton, Washington Parish, Louisiana to Amos Paul Alford and Jessie Faye Fisher Alford. Sandra is survived by her children Shari Hamm and Ray Patton and his fiancé Michelle Lanoux. Also surviving are her grandchildren Brandon Martinez, Kristie Conway, Tiffany Martinez, William Conway, Stephanie Hamm, Layni Che-Leigh Martinez, Nolan Martinez, and Ethan Earl Martinez; great-grandchild Arianna Benavides; her brother Gary Alford; numerous nieces, nephews, and many many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Terri Martinez, sisters Janet Graham and Wanda Falwell and her brother Paul Alford. A memorial service celebrating Sandra's life will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 in the chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway in Houston at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Cole officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.
