Laverne Williams Epperson, age 86, of Solgohachia, Arkansas, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007. She was born June 21, 1921 in Springfield, Arkansas, the daughter of Ollie and Ersia Morrow Williams. Mrs. Epperson was a homemaker, a life long resident of Conway County and the widow of Odes Epperson. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include sons, Ray Epperson of Little Rock, Michael Epperson of Solgohachia; daughters, Betty and husband Tim McCoy of Solgohachia, and Margaret and husband Kenneth Shannon of Brighton, Colorado; sister, Ollie Waites of Lake City, Florida; grandchildren, Lee and Linda Epperson, whom she helped raise, Kenneth McCoy, Stephanie Nix, Staff Sgt. Michael W. Epperson serving in Korea, Audrey Epperson and Tommy Epperson; five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Ermon, Hollis, Carlton and James Williams; one sister, Gladys Crowder and a grandson Kenneth Forest Shannon.
