Martha May Andrews was born in Steele, MO on March 2, 1929. She departed this life at her home in Miramar Beach, FL, on July 17, 2022 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late Ollie M. Whitfield and Mary Quay Warren Whitfield. Mrs. Andrews attended school in Steele, MO.
On Marcy 20, 1948 in Piggott, AR, she was united in marriage to Mr. Howard Andrews. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1999.
Mrs. Andrews worked at Brown Shoe Company in Caruthersville for over 48 years and was chosen to be the person to lock the door when the factory closed. She then worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart for 25 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Andrews of Miramar Beach, FL, one brother, Wesley Whitfield, and many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur "Pete" Whitfield, and one sister, Lois Welch.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 24th, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. The interment was held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.
