Dr. L.J. Lewis (aka Louis) Jacob Bauman, was the youngest son of Jacob (Jake) and Elizabeth (Emmer) Bauman of New Iberia, Louisiana. He survived typhoid fever at a young age. He was also a WWI veteran.
1st marriage was to Elvina Peyefitte (of New Orleans), whom died days after their daughter Vera Bauman (Mrs. R. Lake) was born.
2nd marriage was to Ruby G.

He died in a Shreveport hospital at 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, September 9th after a long illness.
