Donna was born March 22, 1937, to Cassel Theodore Spoon and Emma Mae Wise Spoon at their home in Beardstown, IL.

Survivors include her children Richard Bradley Tucker(Bev) and their children Ashley and Brent of Colorado Springs, Eric Tucker of Climax Springs (Lake of the Ozarks) MO, David Tucker and his children Ryan and Katie Tucker of Philadelphia, MO, and Sherry Wood (Paul) and their children Sasha and Nathan Wood of Hannibal, MO; 2 great-grandchildren, sister Evelyn Hartwick of Quincy, IL and brother Bill Young.

Donna was preceded in death by her Parents.

Donna Worked as a Secretary in different industries throughout her career. She started out at Baun Aluminum in Beardstown, IL, moving into working for Cass County Health department and as Director of Housekeeping at Morris Hospital in Morris IL.

Donna was the epitome of a well put together woman, she worked diligently to show her respect for the people and places she loved. "How does one do that, you may ask?" By putting care and enthusiasm in everything. Her home was kept immaculate, her clothing always pristine, any job she chose to do was done to the best of her ability, but the thing that had the most impact to her family was that Donna would always make you feel special. Although Donna was not a woman of great means, if you were the recipient of a gift from her, then you would know what we mean. She would shine up an apple so pretty, put it in a beautiful box and you felt like it was made of gold. Her intent was to let you know you meant something to her.

Donna was a fabulous artist, winning many local awards for her fine detailed work. She was overjoyed at any opportunity to combine her love of acting and her love of the Lord, often volunteering to be a part of any skit or play put on by Calvary Temple in Springfield, IL and Mission Hill. Pastor Kent really enjoyed her portrayal of Esther in their play at Mission Hill and her daughter Sherry enjoyed watching Donna perform in "The Cemetery Club." She lived for her service of the Lord and her church family, reading the bible, counseling, and praying for others, every day.

A thoughtful and caring Mother, Donna would do anything to put a smile on her children's faces. David particularly loved when she would make her mother's applesauce cake, Sasha looked forward to her grandma's spaghetti dinner, served on a TV tray but always with a fancy dessert or beverage displayed. Donna was known to always have her tea in beautiful China teacups. She loved animals and had close relationships with both Eric and Sasha's pet dogs Mattie and Peppa pig. They would often cuddle with her while she slept, moving over to keep the bed warm when she stepped away, after all, she was their Me Maw.

Pallbearers will be David Tucker, Eric Tucker, Paul Wood, Doug Hampton, David Carroll, and Damon Meadows.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mission Hill Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sasha Wood and Nathan Wood
