Herman C. Breitenstein, 67, died Thursday at his home, 808 North Jackson.

He was born in Davenport, Iowa, March 1, 1876, and had been a resident of Topeka for the last forty-four years.

For many years he owned and managed a tin shop in North Topeka. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors are his widow Mrs Mary Bertenstein; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Neff, Mrs. Thomas Bowes, Mrs Lewis A. Guffey, Jr., and Mrs. Carl Lowe, all of Topeka;
9 grandchildren; five brothers, John and Robert, Kansas City, Mo., Frank, Topeka, and Louie and Henry, Paxico.

The body will lie in state at the home from 2 p.m. today until the time of the service. The rosary will be at the home Friday at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
