According to 1850 Census Lucy was born about 1783 in New York. Lucy died between 1850 to 1860 as she is nowhere to be found after 1850.

Lucy was married to Robert Pettis who died in 1827 in Amsterdam, Montgomery County, New York. (I still can't find burial information on him yet.)
Their children were Lucy Pettis McCollum, Phebe Pettis Vedder, Varnum Pettyes, Stephen V. Pettis, Betsey Pettis Marsh, Amy Pettis Ford, Polly Pettis Hoard, Simeon Pettis, William Pettis, Robert pettis, John Pettis, James Pettis, and Nancy Pettis.
I have the will of her son Stephen Pettis that confirms these siblings.
Lucy came to Michigan sometime after her husband Robert passed in 1827, and lived with her son Simeon in Jackson, Jackson County, MI.
Lucy is my 4th great grandmother.
