Charles Holly Dickey, 84 of Grafton passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 2, 1937 in Sutton, son of the late Delbert N. and Wanda Tenney Dickey. Charles is survived by his wife Janet Elaine Withers Dickey, they were married on November 15, 1957 spending more than sixty- five years together.

Charles was a graduate of Grafton High School, class of 1956. He was owner of Dickey Energy, an entrepreneur of many things including natural resources and building homes. Charles was a tool and die maker by trade. He was a founding member of the New Testament Fellowship Church. He enjoyed farming, being in the outdoors, going fishing and working on antique cars. Charles loved his family and treasured the memories he made with each of them.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by five sons, Mike Dickey (Fleeta) Grafton, Greg Dickey (Lori), North Carolina, Mark Dickey (Cindy), Grafton, Randy Dickey (Peggy) North Carolina, Jon Dickey, Florida, two daughters, Linda Gomez (John), North Carolina, Kelly Coole, Grafton, thirteen grandchildren Christopher (Sara), Benjamin (Joy), Carrie, Josh, Caleb, Brett, Matthew, Anna Grace, Levi (Neva), Maggie, Taylor, Conner, and Charlie, six great grandchildren, three sisters, Violet Jacobs (Dorsey), Morgantown, Marie Crayton (Jim), Grafton,Brenda Mitchell, Buckhannon, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by two brothers, Delmas Dickey and Spencer Dickey, and a sister, Opal Weaver.
