The Weekly Star and Kansan, Fri., Nov. 20, 1896
Carl Trumpower, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trumpower, died a little before noon last Friday of membranous croup. For two days past he was thought to be much better, as the result of an injection of anti-toxin, the membrane having disappeared from the throat, but the lungs appeared to have become affected. The funeral took place at 2 p. m. from Mr. Trumpower's residence just west of the Christian church, the services being conducted by Dr. Wright.
