Wayne was born the son of the late Milton and Phidalus (Petiprin) Abke and has resided in the Otisville area the last fifteen years, spending most of his life in the Lapeer County area. He was a graduate of Caro community Schools, and attended West Forest United Methodist Church for many years. Wayne loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and golfer. He had been employed by the State of Michigan Oakdale Facility until his retirement. He is preceded in death by son Scott Abke, and Wayne's brother Eugene Abke.
